Rites Saturday for Mrs. Nettie Peak Allison~~

Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie Allison 44, found strangled to death last Wednesday in a clothes closet at her home, 702 Moore St., will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Johnson Funeral Home, the Rev. Sherman R. Hanson of the Davis Street Chritian church, will be in charge, and burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Donald Decker, Jack Thomas, Scottie Monohan, John Manning, Cecil Simmer and Paul Heckert.

Sheriff Everette Orman said that today her husband Paul Allison 40, held in Wapello County Jail for the murder has made no request to attend the services.Such requests he said are usually granted.

Allison is scheduled to go into District Court at 10 a.m. October 24th, to and enter a formal plea to the first degree murder count. He is held without bond.

She was Mrs. Nellie Allison 44 of 702 Moore St. Her husband Paul Allison 39 a green house worker and war veteran is being sought for questioning in connection with the death.

Coronor Gordon Traul said than an autopsy showed conclusive evidence of death by strangulation.

Sheriff Orman and his deputies are working on the case searching for Paul Allison.

Mrs. Allison was born July 2, 1906 in Ohio the daughter of John Samuel and Elizabeth Peak. She had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 22 years. She was married previous to the time she married Allison.

Besides her husband and daughter; she is survived by her mother; Mrs. Elizabeth Mason, Cleves, Ohio; three sisters Mrs. Vaughn Lane Converse, IND., Mrs. Lillie Dice, living in Indianna and Mrs. Ray Cox of Cleves, Ohio; two brothers; Edward Peak living in Indianna and Jack Peak Cleves, Ohio.

The body is at the Johnson Funeral home awaiting completion or arrangements.
