Oakle F. Strunk 79, of Sunnyslope Care Center died there at 6:00 p.m. Nov. 28.

He was born Nov.7, 1898 in Davis County to John and Frona Downing Strunk , lived in Wapello County Iowa for most of his life, and was a retired farmer.

His wife Florence died in 1974.

Survivors stepsons; Dover Donnelly of Des Moines, and Max and Clifford Donnelly of Ottumwa; step daughters; June Donnelly of Ottumwa and Edith Spears of Ames; four grandchildren ; a brother Frank of Ottumwa sisters Cleo Brooks of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mossie Hyde of Youngtown, Ariz.

Services: 10 a.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home; the Rev. James Dendler officiating.

Burial Shaul Cemetery. Casket will be closed at the beginning of the service.
