After almost a year of suffering, death came as a relief to Daniel Sullivan Friday night at 6:45 o'clock at the family residence, 139 Sourth Ash street,. The deceased was an aged and highly esteemed citizen of this city and loved and respected by a wide circle of friends. His death, while it came as no surprise, is deeply regretted by innumerable acquaintances. He was 66 years of age and is survived by his wife and eight children, five boys and three girls. Daniel Sullivan was born in Ireland in 1839 and came to this country and Wapello county in 1860. He has always been a member of the Catholic faith and since the erection of Sacred Heart church, he has been a devout parishoner. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the church.
