JOHN D. HANSEN
Services for JOHN D. HANSEN, 71, of 2930 Cottage Grove Ave., Des Moines, Iowa will be at 2 p.m. today at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home, with burial at Chisman Cemetery near Christianburg, Iowa.
MR. HANSEN died Friday (Nov. 5, 1971) at Iowa Lutheran Hospital of a stroke. A retired teacher, MR. HANSEN taught drama and speech at Drake University for 20 years.
He was a member of the Unitarian Church, the National Speech and Hearing Association, the National Forensic League and Pi Kappa Delta fraternity.
Survivors include his wife, MIRIAM HALL HANSEN, two sons, MAURICE of Des Moines,Iowa and NORMAN of Washington D. C.; a daughter, MAURINE BRUSE of Seattle, Wash.; a brother, SOPHUS of Iowa City,Iowa; two sisters, MRS. IDA HOLT of Jackson, Miss., and MRS. MARY HEATON of Vera Cruz, Calif.
Comments: Also, surviving are two grandchildren, JANELLE and KRISITI HANSEN of Des Moines, Iowa. JOHN D HANSEN was born on Feb 13, 1900 near Persia, Iowa to CLAUS and SOPHIA KOCH HANSEN.
