MIRIAM E. HANSEN
A memorial service for MIRIAM E. HANSEN, 79, of 2930 Cottage Ave. will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Unitarian Church. The body will be cremated with remains buried Saturday at Chisman Cemetery at Munterville in Wapello County.
MRS. HANSEN died of cancer Tuesday (March 23, 1982) at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.Born (Feb. 9, 1903) in Comanche, Okla., she lived in Des Moines,Iowa since 1950. She was a retired special education teacher at Pleasantville and a tutor at Drake University. MRS. HANSEN was also a member of First Unitarian Church.
Survivors include two sons, MAURICE of Des Moines,Iowa, and NORMAN of Silver Springs, Md.; a daughter, MURINE BURSE of Seattle, Wash.; and four grandchildren (JANELLE and KRISTI HANSEN; CAMRYAN and KAYA HANSEN).
The family suggest memorials to First Unitarian Church or the American Cancer Society.
Dahlstrom Funderal Home is handling arrangements.
COMMENT'S: MIRIAM was married to JOHN D. HANSEN on June 5, 1927 in Iowa City at the Unitarian Church; he preceded her in death.
