GUY HALL, 82, DIES; DRUGGIST
GUY F. HALL, 82, a druggist 53 years before his retirement in 1954, died Saturday of pneumonia at his home, 2801 Woodland ave., Des Moines, Iowa. He had been ill a week.
Born on a farm near Blakesburg,Iowa, MR. HALL was graduated from Drake University's pharmacy school in 1900. Prior to that he had attended Iowa State Teachers college and taught a number of years. He operated drug stores at Blakesburg,Iowa, Pershing and Des Moines before moving to Ankeny,Iowa in 1941.
He was a Mason, member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Iowa Pharmaceutical Association, and Drake University 50-year club. The state board of pharmacy presented him a 50-year certificate in 1951.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the First Congregational Church, Ankeny with the Ankeny Masonic Lodge in charge. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Munterville with the Blakesburg Masonic Lodge in charge.
Survivors include his wife, FLORA (WILSON); a son, FRANCIS, of Ankeny,Iowa; a daughter, MRS. FREDA(DARREL) FORT, Des Moines,Iowa; a sister, MRS. ELLA (ANDREW L.) SMITH of Whittier, Cal., and two grandchildren (MARILYN and FREDERICK HALL).
