SIGOURNEY, IOWA:::ERMA GRIMES 91, of Sigourney, died Dec 17, 2001 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney following a brief illness.

She was born Nov 06, 1910, in rural Sigourney,Iowa to EDWARD J. and CATHERINE DUMONT VOGEL. She married CLOYD H. GRIMES on Aug. 19, 1930 in Sigourney.

Surviving are one son; JAMES of Brighton, Iowa; 2 daughters; CAROLE SHEETZ of Grand Junction, Colorado and DONNA FENSKE of Homer, Alaska; 18 grandchildren; 32 g-grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy CONKLIN of Kalona.

Mass of the Resurrection will be 3-8 pm, Thursday in the Reynolds-Powell Funeral Chapel in Sigourney, where there will also be a Wake Service
at 7 pm. Visitation will continue from 9-10:30 AM Friday in the church.

A general memorial fund has been established.
