GRETCHEN L. SAFFELL, 76,of 1042 S. Sheridan Ave, died at 11:10 pm July 25, 2001 in Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

She was born July 14, 1925, in Ottumwa,Iowa to JACK COLLETT and MINA L. HARTLEY COLLETT. She married ALBERT SAFFELL November 12, 1944.

Surviving are her husband; a son JOHN R. "SAM" SAFFELL of Ottumwa,Iowa; two grandsons; and a sister BETTY SWANSON of Ottumwa,Iowa.

Services will be at 3 pm Saturday, July 28 at REECE FUNERAL HOME, the Reverand Gordon HAWKINS officiating. Burial will be at the Shaul Cemetery of Ottumwa,Iowa.

Visitation will begin at 10 am Today, Friday, with the family present from 6-8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Floris Baptist Church. (FLORIS< IOWA)
