FRANCIS H. WELLS, 78, of 118 S. Union St. died at 9:26 am, July 22, 2001 in Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

He was born June 04, 1923 in Iowa City,Iowa to HAROLD FRANCIS and FLORENCE BEHRENS WELLS. He married IVA JOANNE HARTLEY August 14, 1949. She died July 03, 1997. He then married VIRGINIA CONNER November 28, 1998.

Surviving are his wife; two sons; GREG and PHILLIP of Ottumwa,Iowa; three daughters, CINDY MILLER of Ottumwa,Iowa, SONJA KEENAN of Solon and LORI SANDS of Hopkinton; seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Services will be 1 pm Wednesday, July 25, in Evangelistic Foursquare Church, the Reverand Viola KING officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Military services will be conducted by O.B. Nelson Post 3 American Legion and Walter B. Schafer Post 775 Veterans of Foreign Wars; pallbearers will be Edwin DAY, Jason and Joshua MILLER, Bradley WELLS, Don BOYD and Kreg GAERTNIER. Honorary bearers will be Bob RAMEY and Staci WELLS.

Visitation will begin at 10 am Today, Tuesday at reece Funeral Home, with family present 608 pm.
