My Grandmother Florence Seifts married William Florient O'Dell in Elizabeth, New Jersey. She gave birth to my father William Raymond O'Dell on April 16, 1930. Shortly thereafter they were divorced as a result of her family and the depression. It is my understanding that my grandfather remarried and lived in Linden, New Jersey until his death in the early 1960s. That's all I know. I have been trying to find out more about my family history. However, nobody in my father's family knows anything. My grandmother passed away three years ago. She never talked about my grandfather because her family had made her divorce him. I heard from one of my cousins that anything involving him had been removed from the family history because he was in the Irish Mafia. Since we're all still around they obviously can't totally erase him. Do you have any knowledge about this part of the O'Dells? Alternatively, do you know where I can look?
