Hi, I also have family that went from Van Buren to Chautauqua County KS in the early 1870s. I believe it was 1873 that the Hackneys made the move. My McKenney family--I'm not sure when they left Van Buren for good but eventually they settled in Chautauqua. Would be interested in comparing notes and seeing if there are any associated names between the familes?
