Sneath/Vernon GAR Post

James J. B. Sneath and wife Martha Odle Sneath
retired to Bentonsport from just north of
Hillsboro. Connected names are Young, Runyon,
Cotton, Edwards, Toops, etc. James was a Civil
War veteran and was active in GAR posts at both
Hillsboro and at Vernon. Does anyone know where
the records of either post are now? Any other
information appreciated. Need to see if there was
a deed for house they had in Bentonsport;one lady
a few years ago told me it was moved up on top of
the hill as a farm house. I believe I saw it.
