The Paul D. Lee buried at Saint Francis Cemetery in Belmond, Iowa from the findagrave.com website is indeed your grandfather. His birth date matches exactly.

Marian L. Kuper, 91, Belmond, died March 31, 2011 at Wright Medical Center in Clarion. Mass of Christian Burial was held April 5 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Belmond. Burial was in the church cemetery. Marian Lucille, the daughter of Ira J. and Mary Bray Studebaker, was born February 23, 1920 on a farm south of Belmond. She grew up in Belmond and graduated from Belmond High School in 1938. She taught in country schools for seven and a half years. Marian worked at Decker and Sons in Mason City and General Mills in Belmond. She was a devoted nurse’s aide at the Belmond Community Hospital for 30 years before retiring. Marian married Paul D. “Tex” Lee in October 1942. He died in 1966. Marian married Harold E. Kuper in 1983. He died in 1992. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Marian always made family time special. Her door was always open and she always had baked goods to offer anyone who stopped by. She is remembered for her love of family and friends, coffee time, and bingo. She served many years as a polling site official in Belmond. Marian was also a devoted, life-long member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She was active in the Catholic Daughters and in preparing meals for funerals and various other activities at the church. She resided at Belle Haven Assisted Living for the last year and a half, enjoying friends and the staff. She was preceded in death by her husbands; sons Robert and Richard Lee; daughter-in-law Bonnie Lee; three sisters; and two brothers. Marian is survived by her children Dixie (Larry) Lamoreux of Mason City, Diane Reasoner of Decatur, IL, Mary Lee of Cedar Rapids, Jim (Sue) Lee of Prior Lake, MN, and Ginger (Mark) Stille of Goodell; daughter-in-law Pat Lee of Mason City; thirteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and sister Virginia Studebaker of Belmond.

Robert "Bob" E. Lee, 59, of Mason City, died March 27, 2002 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit. Funeral services were held March 30 at Major Erickson Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Cahill of Holy Family Catholic Church officiating. Robert was born Dec. 14, 1942, in Belmond, the son of Paul and Marian (Studebaker) Lee. He was a 1961 graduate of Belmond High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and become a rifle marksman. Bob was united in marriage on September 11, 1965 to Patricia Ulrich in Belmond. They made their home in Mason City. Some of his hobbies included watching NASCAR, bowling, hunting, fishing, playing cards, and listening to country western music. He is survived by his wife of Mason City; two sons, Michael Lee and Jill of Austin, Minnesota and their children, Tyler, Connor, Spencer, Parker and Krystle; and Paul Lee and Miranda of Mason City and their children, Dustin, Duncan, Dallas, Abby and Cooper; one daughter, Kathy Lee-Hudson and Jon of Nora Springs and their children, Holli, Christopher and Andrew; one great-grandchild; mother, Marian Kuper of Belmond; four sisters, Dixie Lamoreux and Larry of Mason City, Diane Reasoner of Decatur, Illinois, Ginger Stille and Mark of Goodell, and Betty Lee of Cedar Rapids; one brother, Jim Lee and Sue of California; two aunts, Virginia Studebaker of Belmond and Irene Reiland of Clarion; father and mother-in-law, Richard and Pauline Ulrich of Klemme. He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather, Harold Kuper; brother, Rick; brother-in-law, Larry Ulrich, maternal and paternal grandparents.
