Confirming date of birth

My great grandfather, Henry Clay Hargrove, was born in Jackson Township in Van Buren county in 1864 or 1865. His father was John Quincy Hargrove, and his mother was Hannah E. Hargrove. I hope to confirm his actual DOB. He died in 1933 and is buried in Des Moines near the gravesites of my grandparents.
