Gina: My G.Grandmother was Tensa Cox Blackburn and our Cox line dates back to 1847, in and around Keosauqua. I have checked my family group sheets and do not find a "Herschel" listed, unless it was a middle name. My cousin, Bill Blackburn, still lives in Keosauqua and helps with a Cox family reunion that takes place every August. Maybe he can help you. I live in NC. Thanks for making the effort to get the bible back to the family.
