Oh, I think I should clarify something. The bible is dated 1873; my guess is that Herschel was born after this. I have no information about Herschel other than the inside of the bible has his name penciled in with "Keosauqua, Ia" written underneath it. Were we even using two-letter state abbreviations back then? I don't know...Anyway, I hope this belongs in Ms. Cox's family and I would love to get it there.
