Indian Prairie, Iowa

BARKER

My Barker Family crossed the Mississippi near Nauvoo and settled in Southern Iowa in the town they called Indian Prairie. I would like help locating where this town was and if there is anything left of the early settlers there in the 1840s. Years later they traveled through Stringtown a few miles west. Any ideas on where these places are located and what they are called today?
