Looking for information

Hi there, I just found that one of my ansestors Adam Lowry Rankin and his wife Amanda Kephart Rankin came to Van Buren County. All I know is that the American Home Missionary Society of the Presbyterian Church to appointed him "Home Missionary for the County of Van Buren, Iowa Territory, with headquarters at Keosauqua. This was around 1841.

Any other informtion would be welcome. Thanks
