I believe Story Chapel was located on the next East-West road south of the location indicated in the 2003 discussion. I recall a church located on the Southwest corner of the "T" intersection. The property east of the intersection was owned by my parents Orville and Grace Lanman. I believe my mother may have lived on the property east of the "T" intersection as a girl. Access to the house would have been via the road referenced in your reply.
We moved to her father's home (Nelson Hunter) one mile west of the "T" in 1946 when I was six. The "East Place" as we called it was used for pasture and hay. I have vague memories of a church at the location covered above. I have no memory of what happended to it.
My recent interest in the church resulted from discussions with Ivan Simmons (92)who is related to my mother and grew up on the next farm west of what we called "The Home Place". He recalled going to church in the neighborhood but couldn't recall details inspite of having an excellent memory of his early years.
I have my mother's diaries starting with 1940 as well as family photo albums. I'll search them for pictures or references to Story Chapel.
Regards,
John Lanman
