Mrs. Margaret Tully.

At her home in Harrisburg township, Van Buren County, Iowa, August 31, 1913, Mrs. Margaret Tully departed this life aged 72 years, 5 months and 5 days.

Margaret Baugher was born in York county, Pa., March 26, 1841, and came to Iowa with her father's family in 1855.

December 25, 1859, she was united in marriage with S. M. Telly and to this union eleven children were born, seven sons and four daughters, five of whom have preceded her to the better land.

In early life she united with the Christian church remaining a member of that faith until her death.

The deceased is survived by her aged companion, three sons and three daughters, all residing in Harrisburg township except one who lives near Monte Vista, Colo. This aged couple have shared life's joys and sorrows for fifty-three years, always residing at the present home, where they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, surrounded by all of the children, eighteen grand-children, and the company of friends.

In lives such as her[s] there is a lesson for each of us. Her life's part was marked with deeds of kindness and cheer. Flowers, not thorns, sunshine, not shadow, did she scatter everywhere.

The funeral services were held at the late home Sept. 2 conducted by Rev. Walker of Brighton, Iowa, a former pastor.
