WOLF

That was, indeed, a sad occasion when the friends and kinsfolk assembled last Monday to witness the solemn ceremony of laying to rest all that was mortal of a fair young wife and mother, that flower nipped so early by "fell Death untimely frost." In the enjoyment of happiness and in the promise of a long life of joy and usefulness to those with whom she was associated, her voice was suddenly stilled. Sad, sad was that separation!

OBITUARY

Alice M. Burrier was born at Chambersburg, Mo., November 20, 1875, and moved with her parents to Anson, Mo., when two years of age. In the spring of 1890, she with her parents, came to Bonaparte, Iowa, where she spent the remainder of her days. She was married October 27, 1892, to William M. Wolf; and to this happy union was born one child, Beulah V. now four years of age. After a brief illness, her death occurred at 6 o'clock on Saturday evening, Jan. 8, 1898, having attained the short existence of 22 years, 1 month and 18 days.

She leaves to mourn her loss, a husband and a daughter, father and mother, Mr. J.M. Burrier and Mrs. M.J. Burrier, of Anson, Mo., one brother, Webster, at home, and four sisters, Mrs. Abbie Neff, in Colorado, Mrs. Flora Sturdivant, Mrs. Julia Hall, and Miss Nora Burrier, all residing in Bonaparte, besides a host of friends wherever she was known. She was devotedly attached to her husband and daughter, and her chief regret was that her daughter would be deprived of her care.

On Friday evening she seemed to fully realize that she could not recover, and kissed her husband an affectionate farewell.

The funeral services were held at the Baptist church Monday afternoon, Jan. 10th, Rev. W. J. McCollom officiating, after which her remains were laid to rest in the Bonaparte cemetery.
