Mrs. Mary Lightfoot died at her home in Ft. Madison, Iowa, Thursday night, April 12, 1906, aged eighty-nine years and eleven months.

She was born in England and came to America with her husband and two children in 1845. For many years she has been a resident of Harrison township, Lee county, Iowa and was highly esteemed by all who knew her.

She is survived by four children, John Lightfoot of Farmington, Mrs. Mary Ketcham of Bonaparte, Mrs. W. S. Beard of Versailles, Mo., and Sheriff Frank Lightfoot of Ft. Madison. The funeral services were held at Sharon church Sunday.
