Mary Ann Jones Ware.
Mary Ann Jone was born in Madison county Ohio Oct. 6, 1823. Died at Eldon, Iowa, Feb. 15, 1906, being 82 yrs. 4 mo. and 9 days old.
On July 26, 1840, she was married to Thomas C. Ware of Noblesville, Ind. To this union ten children were born; four of whom are still living, as follows: Isaiah of Belknap, Ia., Samuel of Nobelsville, Ind., Mrs. Olive Morris of Scott's Bluff, Neb. and Mrs. Maggie Pearson of Eldon at whose home she died.
These children, except Samuel were at the bedside when Mother "fell asleep" in Jesus.
In 1841 she with her husband came to Iowa, settling near Bonaparte, at and near which place she lived until the death of her husband in June 1893. Since which time she has her home with her children.
She was converted in early life and united with the M. E. church, in which connection she remained faithful until death.
Funeral services were held at the home of J. C. Pearson of Eldon and remains taken to Bonaparte and laid by her husband.
Mr. and Mrs. Clay Pearson of Eldon, Mrs. Chas. Bingamon of Keosauqua, and T. J. Morris of Selma came to Bonaparte with the remains.
