Sarah Wire was born September 8, 1854, and died October 27, 1900, aged 46 years, 1 month and 19 days. She was married on November 28th, 1875, to Richard Watts, and together they spent a happy life till death called the husband several years ago. Two sons and one daughter were born to their union, and are left to mourn the untimely departure of the mother. She also leaves an aged mother, four sisters and three brothers.
Being left a widow with three small children, her life has been a sad one, but she bore her troubles and sickness patiently, and was willing to go when the Lord called her, only regretting the separation from her children.

Deceased became a member of the Methodist church at Bonaparte, about three years ago, under the pastorate of Rev. A. E. Thornley. She was been a faithful follower of the Master, and has gone to her reward.

The funeral services occurred from her late residence, southwest of Bonaparte, Monday afternoon, October 29, 1900, Rev. W. R. Rolingson.
