WAS A WHOLESOME MAN

Age 85 Years, Native or Ireland,
Resided Near Farmington
All of His Life

Frank Marmion lived within thirty miles of Farmington for over eighty years, and was always universally liked and respected.

Frank Marmion son of Michael and Margaret Marmion was born in Dublin Ireland September 19, 1848 and departed this life at Graham hospital, Keokuk, May 10, 1934 at the age of 85 years, 7 months and 21 days. His parents brought him to America when he was 3 weeks old, they settled in Ohio, and in 1863 they came to Clark county, Missouri. He had five brothers and two sisters who with his father and mother have departed this life. He was united in marriage to Miss Lieu**na S. Stanley at Wayland, Missouri.

They located on a farm near St. Francisville, Mo. They were blessed with three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Geo. Medaris of Farmington, Robert of Colorado, Benjamin of Farmington, Mrs. Francis Waste of Miami, Florida and Mrs. Annadale Ponte of Farmington.

His wife died July 18, 1912.

In 1900 they located on a farm near Farmington and in 1906 he located on the farm where he resided until his death.

He leaves 5 children, 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews to mourn his departure. He has been in failing health on account of old age since January. He was in the hospital at Keokuk for 23 days. He has been a successful stock raiser and has shipped stock to the Peoria market for 65 years. He told his child once he had plowed corn 72 years in succession.

He has been a man of high standing in the communities where he has lived and will be missed by his relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at his residence near Farmington Saturday May 12, 1934 at 2 p.m.. His body was placed in the Farmington cemetery.

Funeral services were in charge of Rev. H.E. Butler.
