HOLLIS REGUR

Hollis Regur, son of James and Pearl Perkins Regur, was born April 25, 1905, at Keosauqua and departed this life Saturday, January 6, 1979 at Hawkinsville, Georgia at the age of 73.

On August 19, 1925 he married Margaret Walker, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Billie of Hawkinsville, Georgia, grandchildren and two great grandchildren, his mother and a brother, Frank, both of Hemet, California, other relatives and friends.

He was a race horse owner, trainer and driver, and resided in the Keosauqua community until moving to Georgia about 25 years ago.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 9, 1979 at 3 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. John Cornish officiating. Mary Muir was the soloist, and Gloria Weirbach the organist. Pallbearers were David Griffiths, Marvin Boecker, Gary Muir, Robert Roush, Joe DeHart and Lester Matheson. Interment was in Center Chapel Cemetery.
