Samuel Merchant Deahl, who would have been 82 years old May 26, passed away at his home in Birmingham, on Friday afternoon, May 23, after having been in failing health for the past few years.

He was the son of Samuel and Susan Deahl, was born [Friday] May 26, 1854 at West Greensborg, PA and came with his parents to Iowa when he was about one year old and settled near Birmingham, which has been his home ever since.
