ARTHUR RALPH LEPPER

Arthur Ralph Lepper, son of Joseph and Lillie Hart Lepper, was born May 19, 1904, in Eldon and departed this life Thursday, July 27, 1972, at the age of 68.

As a youth, he lived in several western states.

On April 2, 1928, he was married to Gwendolyn Dooley at Ottumwa. She remains to cherish his memory along with their two daughters, Miss Evelyn Lepper of Waterloo and Mrs. Donald Horton of Fairfield; son-in-law, Donald Horton; two grandchildren, J. D. and Jolene Horton; his mother, Mrs. Lillie Lepper and a brother, Willis Lepper, both of Galesburg, Ill.; other relatives and many friends.

Ralph attended barber school in Des Moines and began barbering in Milton. He had operated the barber shop in Selma since 1926. He was a member of Van Buren Lodge No. 350, Independent Order of Odd Fellows at Selma.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 29, at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Gerald Caughron and the Rev. Earl Kelly officating [sic]. Interment was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, with graveside rites by Van Buren Lodge No. 350, I. O. O. F.
