GLEN H. LOOMIS

Glen H. Loomis, son of John and Mae Schlotter Loomis, was born March 1, 1906, near Selma and departed this life Sunday, Feb. 6, 1972, at his farm home between Douds and Keosauqua at the age of 65. His life was spent farming in Van Buren County, and he had served for many years as Van Buren Township Clerk.

On July 21, 1926, he was married to Mabel Groves. She remains to cherish his memory along with their two sons, Lloyd and Dean, both of Mt. Vernon, their daughter, Mrs. Betty Boyer of Cedar Rapids, eleven grandchildren, and a brother Stanley of Fairfield, other relatives and many friends.

Glen will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, loved by his family and respected by his neighbors as a good citizen and a true friend.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 9, 1972, at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gerald Caughron, pastor of the Christ United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Pittsburg Cemetery.
