RAYMOND F. MURPHY

Raymond F. Murphy, 68, died Saturday, Dec. 29 at p.m. [sic] at Bloomfield Manor. He was a painter and interior decorator.

He was born in Van Buren County on Aug. 9, 1905, to Charlie and Carrie Cox Murphy. A Bloomfield resident four years, he previously lived in Des Moines. He was affiliated with the Pulaski United Methodist Church. He married Mabel Ancell.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Joan Griffith of Altoona; one son, Jerry of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dale of Pualski [sic] and Leo of Keokuk; and one sister, Clarissa Carlson of Bloomfield. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and two brothers.

The service was Wednesday, January 2, 1974 at the Wagler Funeral Home, with the Rev. J. E. McClellan officiating. Burial was in the Pulaski Cemetery.
