Mary Elizabeth DOEBLER was b. Halifox, Dauphin Co., Penn. June 14, 1819 and d. at the home of her gr. dau. Mrs. Perry Murphy, Vernon Ia. June 6, 1904 at age 4 [sic] years 11 months 26 days. Came to Ia in May 1840 and following Spring marr. Henry EHRMON who died in Calif. having gone there in the 50's goldrush. Six children - 3 sons 3 dau. Two sons and 2 daus. have preceeded her in death, leaving one son John of Vernon and dau., Mrs. Louise DEAN of Smith Center, Kans. with 9 gr. child - 6 great grandchildren. One of pioneer settlers. Kept house for her son-in-law, Rev. W. E. PATTERSON after death of his wife.
