Charles E. NEWLON b. Culpepper Co., Va. March 12, 1820 and died home Bentonsport June 22, 1904 - 84 years - 3 months - 10 days. To Ohio at age 16 years and married Miss Margareta STEWART in 1843. Children - John of the Army and Mrs. Lucy ROBBINS of Rockford, Ill. To Iowa and settled near Mt. Pleasant 1845 and 1847 wife died. About 1850 to Bentonsport. In 1857 marr. Miss Nancy E. CRESSWELL. To them 3 children - Dora - Kate - Charlie. Kate having died 14 years ago. Dora and Charlie live Bentonsport. Surving [sic] wife - 2 sons - 2 dau - 7 grandchild - 3 great grandchild.
