Etta Hawbaker, 92, formerly of 246 S. Walnut Ave., Ottumwa, died July 10, 1991, in Farmers Branch, Texas.
She was born April 23, 1899, in Birmingham to William and Myrtle Gire Mathias. She married Aaron Hawbaker in 1920, he died.
She was a homemaker and a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Etta Canny of Farmers Branch, Texas; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Matthias of Moline, Ill.
The service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, 1991 at Chapel of the Cross, the Rev. Kenneth Williams officiating. Burial was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Ottumwa.
