Death of C. V. B. Day

Mr. Cyrus V. B. Day, of this place, died Monday afternoon, Sept. 12 aged 55 years. Mr. Day formerly lived in Cedar township. He was the second son of the late Timothy Day, one of the best known men that ever lived in Van Buren county. Deceased was, as we remember him in years past, a bright intelligent, successful farmer, owning a good farm near the old Day homestead. About 1876 sickness came upon him, and he has been an invalid and a sufferer ever since. His death came not unexpectedly. His funeral took place at Winchester Tuesday. Peace and rest and joy to his afflicted and weary soul.
