Hazel M. Brown, 100, of Fairfield, died at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 1990, at Parkview Care Center.
The service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham. Family visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to First Christian Church.
Mr. Brown was born Nov. 5, 1889, in Ida Grove, the daughter of A.W. and Nancy E. Hecht Bennett. She had lived in Fairfield since age 9. She married Charles Brown Jan. 10, 1920, in Princeton, Mo. He died Nov. 13, 1957. She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Juanita Stone of Floris; a son, Paul of Mesa, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Bertha Fisher of Tampa, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; several great and great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Serle Osier of Rogue River, Ore. Three children, Clara White, Glen Brown and John Droz, preceded her in death.
