Goldie Logan Holt, 94, formerly of Birmingham died May 29, 1990, at San Leandro Hospital in California.
She was born March 14, 1896, in Birmingham to Joseph and Martha McCausland Meck. She married Day Logan. He died in 1946. She married Asa Holt.
She was reared on a farm west of Birmingham and attended country schools. She has lived in Hayward, California for 40 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty Walker of Hayward, California; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ray; a sister Ruth Kemmer; and a daughter Edith Atha.
Graveside services were held 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 1990 at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.
Burch-Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham was in charge of arrangements.

BIRMINGHAM - The graveside service for Goldie Logan Holt, 94, of Hayward, Calif., formerly of Birmingham, who died Tuesday, May 29, 1990, at a hospital in San Leandro, Calif., will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burch-Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Holt was born March 14, 1896, in Birmingham, the daughter of Joseph and Martha McCausland Meck. She grew up on a farm one mile west of Birmingham and attended country school. She had lived in Hayward for the past 40 years and with her daughter for the last several years. She married Day Logan. He died and she later married Asa Holt, who also preceded her in death.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty Walker of Hayward; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Ray Meck, a sister, Ruth Kemmer and a daughter, Edith Atha, preceded her in death.
