Georgia R. Owen

Georgie R. Owen, daughter of Charles H. and Almeda Watson Robertson, was born February 4, 1907 in Van Buren County and died the morning of Wednesday, April 18, 1990 at Bloomfield Care Center, Bloomfield, at the age of 83.

She was a homemaker and longtime resident of the Cantril community. On July 15, 1933 she married Charles Owen at New Hope, Mo. He remains to cherish her memory. Also surviving are three sisters, Arta Peel, Cleda Perkovich and Helen Walton, a brother, Wallace Robertson, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Two brothers, O.C. and Ray Robertson and two sisters, Olive Kaiser and Edith Hull preceded her in death.

Mrs. Owen was a member of the Cantril Christian Church.

The body was cremated. Graveside services were held Sunday, April 22, 1990 at 2 p.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril with Rev. Kenneth Campbell officiating. A memorial was established for Iowa Children's Services, 1101 Walnut St., Des Moines, Iowa 50309. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
