Goldie Boyer, 83, Benton, Kentucky, formerly of Farmington, died at 4:13 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 1990 at the Marshall County Hospital, Benton.
She was born February 27, 1907 in Farmington, and was a rural school teacher in the Farmington area for many years. She had lived in Benton for 10 years, and was a member of the Maple Springs United Methodist Church of Benton.
On August 17, 1927, in Farmington, she was married to Harold Boyer, who preceded her in death on October 13, 1979.
Surviving are a son, Winston, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a daughter, Lillian O'Dor, Benton; a brother, Kenneth Hite, Bonaparte; a sister, Mable Smith, Farmington; six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a brother. Her parents were Albert and Clara DeHart Hite.
Services were held Friday, November 9, 1990 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery.
