Madeline W. Benedict

Madeline Benedict, 71, Farmington, died at 2:07 a.m. March 18, 1988 at Fort Madison Community Hospital.

A long-time Farmington resident, Mrs. Benedict was born September 4, 1916 in Lee County. She was a former employee of Sheller Globe Corp. of Keokuk.

She was married to Bryce Benedict, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Bryce Richard Benedict, Mt. Pleasant, and Thomas Louis Benedict, Farmington; two brothers, Floyd Wharton, Keokuk and Pearl Wharton of Michigan, and seven grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son. Her parents were Arch and Clara Hort Wharton.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 20, 1988 at Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington with Robert Hambright officiating. Burial was in Greenglade Cemetery.
