Mary Jane Lingenfelter

Mary Jane Lingenfelter, daughter of Gerald and Jennie Brody Webb, was born June 9, 1921 in Des Moines and died Tuesday afternoon, March 22, 1988 at her home near Lockridge at the age of 66.

Early in life, she lived in Arkansas, Des Moines, Ottumwa and Eldon.

She married Lawnis L. Sickels February 20, 1946 at Lancaster, Missouri. They lived in Douds, near Lockridge and near Birmingham. Mr. Sickels died in 1975. Her parents and twin great-granddaughters also preceded her in death.

She married Lawrence M. Lingenfelter November 30, 1978 in Keosauqua.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Bill Sickels, Mt. Pleasant and Lawnis Ray Sickels, New London; two daughters, Jennie Millard, New London and Mary Douglas, Mt. Pleasant; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Emogene Bailey, Ottumwa, and June Stoner, Jesup.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 26, 1988 at 12:30 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, with Pastor Earl Swigart officiating. Interment was in Bethlehem Cemetery in Davis County south of Eldon. A memorial has been established.
