Ella J. McDorman

Mrs. Ella J. McDorman, 60, of Salem, formerly of 1304 S. 15th St., Burlington, died Friday, May 13, 1988, at her home.

Born Nov. 13, 1927, at Stockport, she was the daughter of Jake and Alta Marshall Vicars. She married Albert Charles McDorman March 15, 1946, at Mt. Pleasant. He died July 10, 1978.

She was a member of West Hill United Methodist Church, and the Burlington VFW Auxiliary.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Shirley (Ronald) Hull; four brothers, Junior Vicars, Salem, Roscoe Vicars, Orlando, Fla., Robert Vicars, Kilgore, Tex., and Herman Vicars, Kingman; one sister Mrs. Mary (Keith) Mills, Sperry.

The service for Mrs. McDorman was held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 16, 1988 at Beatty-Wilkins Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Henry Ledbetter officiating. Burial was in Salem East Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the American Diabetic Association.
