Catherine Miller

Catherine A. Miller, 71, of Davenport died September 23, 1987 at her home.

She was born December 17, 1915 in Lincoln, Nebraska to James and Sarah Groves Roberts. She was a resident of Ottumwa from 1947 until 1980, when she moved to Davenport. She had been and employee of the Iowa State Extension Office, retiring in 1978 as assistant service coordinator of low rent housing.

She is survived by four daughters, Jacquelyn Burns of Garden Grove, California, Gerrolyn Byrd of Billings, Montana and Peggy McKittrick and Jeanne Houk of Davenport; four sons, James and Michael Weir of Davenport and John R. and Steven M. Miller of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 29 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marion Roberts of Milton and Charles Roberts of Keosauqua; and a sister, Margaret Aeschelman of Long Beach, California.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joy Marlene Weir.

The service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 26, 1987 at Reece Funeral Home. Burial was in Mount Moriah Cemetery near Douds.
