J. Monte McQuoid

J. Monte McQuoid, son of Jasper A. and Lillie McGreevy McQuoid, was born February 25, 1899, near Lebanon and departed this life early the morning of Monday, September 28, 1987 at Van Buren Good Samaritan Center, Keosauqua, at the age of 88.

Montie spent his active life farming near Lebanon and was a long time member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church.

He married Elsie Miller who passed away October 8, 1970. Also preceding him in death were two sisters and a brother.

Surviving are three daughters, Betty Dietzman, Farmington, Marilynn Gillman, Alexandria, Virginia, and Beverly Williams, rural Milton; two sons, Marvin, rural Milton and David, Cantril; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 30, 1987 at 11 a.m. in the Lebanon United Methodist Church with Reverend Stephen Conte and Reverend Harold Harryman officiating. Interment was in Lebanon Cemetery. Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, was in charge of arrangements. A memorial was established.
