Robert B. Barrow, 82 of Keosauqua died at 3:12 p.m. Sept. 28, 1996 at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital in Centerville.

He was born Nov. 18, 1913 near Milton to Herbert and Minnie Collins Barrow. He married Pearl G. Perkins June 21, 1941 in Hannibal, Mo. She died April 21, 1977. He married Jessie Bartholomew Wiley April 19, 1979 in Keosauqua.

He farmed in the Lebanon community, retiring to Keosauqua in 1976. He was Iowa State Contour Plowing Champion in 1950, and was a member of Iowa Plowman Hall of Fame. He served as a Van Buren County Soil Conservation District Commisioner and several years on Van Buren County Board of Health. He attended Farmington Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Lloyd of Columbia, MO., and William of Marion; two stepsons, Robert and Thomas, both of Lees Summit, MO.; a stepdaughter, Alice Mairet of Lees Summit, MO.; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and a sister Ellamarie Craig of Elk Grove, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a granson and a sister, Helen Townsend.

The service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Keosauqua Chrisitan Church. The body has been donated to University of Iowa Department of Anatomy. Memorials may be made to Farmington Assembly of God Church.

Jessie Bartholomew Wiley's mother, Elva Cox Bartholomew is my great aunt; submited for those who might have an interest in family genealogy.
