Eugene W. Miller

Eugene W. Miller, 57, of rural Keosauqua, died about 3:30 p.m. Saturday at his home.

Born Aug. 2, 1929, at Burlington, he was the son of Walter and Mable Limeke Miller. He married Vera Graham Dec. 31, 1950.

He had lived in Burlington-Wever area until moving to Keosauqua in 1972. He was a farmer and had worked at the Fairfield Aluminium(sp) Castings Co. He was active in the Planned Progress Civic Group, Wever, and was Wever's fire chief for 13 years.

Surviving are his wife, Vera; on son, Larry "Bud" Miller, Keosauqua, two daughters, Jo Genck, Donnellson, and Penny Wilson, Birmingham; four brothers, Lennis Miller, Patsy Junction, Ariz., LaVerne "Red" Miller, Milton Junction, Wis., Duane Miller, Keosauqua, and Gary Miller, New London; two sisters, Donna Wenke, Mount Sterling, and Nadine "Blondie" Crandall, Mesa, Ariz.; and nine grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 tonight at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua. The casket will be closed at 7:20 tonight.

Services for Mr. Miller will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Vernon Ayers officiating. Burial will be in Miller Chapel Cemetery, northeast of Keosauqua.

A memorial has been established for the heart fund. Contributions may be left at the funeral home.
