Edward "Bud" Vickroy, 56, of Danville, died at 10:54 a.m. at the Danville High School.

Born June 21, 1930, at Winton, Wyo., he was the son of Edward and Minnie Klages Vickroy. He married Luree Jones Nov. 22, 1951, at Danville.

Mr. Vickroy was an industrial arts teacher at the Danville High School. He was a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and received his master's degree from the University of Iowa.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Danville, the Danville Masonic Lodge No. 48 A.F. & A.M. Worshipful Master, Past Worthy Patron Order of Eastern Star 514, Construction League Burlington Bowling Association, D.E.A., I.S.E.A., N.E.A., and was city building inspector of Danville. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean conflict.

Surviving are his wife, Luree; two daughters, Mrs. Yvonne (Richard) DeWein, Goose Lake, and Kathleen Vickroy, Peking, Ill; two sons, Michael Vickroy, Norwalk, and David Vickroy, Freemont, Calif.; his mother, Mrs. Minnie (William) Rice, Danville; one sister, Mrs. Phyllis (Richard) Thie, Meidapolis; four grandchildren; and two nephews.

Masonic services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Lunning Chapel with family visitation following.

Services for Mr. Vickroy will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Danville High School with the Rev. Paul VanGorkom officiating. Burial will be in Jagger Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for the Danville High Rescue Unit and Danville High School.
