Raymond Pickerell

DOUDS - Raymond Pickerell, 47, of Omaha, Neb., died of cancer at 6 p.m. April 3, 1987, at his home.

He was born April 20, 1939, in Ottumwa to Willis and Freda Goughnour Pickerell. He was reared in Douds and graduated from Douds High School. He served in the Air Forced from 1962-85, retiring as a master sargeant. He was a member of the Zion Bible Church near Douds. He married Deann Bovee on Aug. 22, 1964, in Marshalltown.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Debbie and Wendy; and a son, Scott, all of the home; his mother, Freda Pickerell Davis, and step-father, Ellery Davis, of Agency; and a brother, Richard of Englewood, Colo.

The service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, the Rev. Kenneth Carr officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Leando Cemetery at Douds.

The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. Monday.

A memorial fund has been established.
