Marguerite McKee Wright

Marguerite McKee Wright, 79, died at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 1987 at the Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua, Iowa.

She was born April 10, 1907 in Jefferson County the daughter of George W. and Anna Grant McKee. She married Eldon V. Wright January 18, 1953 at the First United Methodist Church in Fairfield. He died June 27, 1970.

Marguerite lived in Van Buren and Jefferson counties her entire life. She was a graduate of Stockport High School and Parsons College. While attending the Stockport school she was a basketball athlete. She returned to the Stockport school as a teacher for many years.

She was a member of the Stockport United Methodist Church and L.L.G. Club. She was also a member of Eastern Star No. 39, White Shrine and Log Cabin Chapter DAR of Fairfield.

Surviving are one sister: Myrtle Gilchrist, Fairfield, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Darlene Casagranda, Whittier, Calif., stepson, Donald Wright of Stockport and seven nieces.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services for Marguerite Wright were Saturday, April 4, 1987 at the Stockport United Methodist Church with Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial was in Spencer Cemetery.
