Ex-Fairfielder dies in N.C.

Former Fairfielder Bernice Margaret Davison, 81, died Wednesday at her home at 1504 W. Cornwallis Drive in Greensboro, N.C.

She was born Jan. 6, 1906 in Mount Sterling, the daughter of William and Ione Lorton Park. She married William V. Davidson, who preceded her in death on March 31, 1982.

Mrs. Davidson lived in Fairfield prior to moving to Greensboro. She was a retired J.C. Penney Co. employee, charter member and past president of the United Methodist Women, past worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star, past worthy high priestess of the White Shrine of Jerusalem of Fairfield, Senior Citizen Club Kraft Center member and a member of the West Market Street United Methodist Church in Greensboro.

She is survived by two sons: Kent I. and Park R., both of Greensboro, and four grandchildren.

Graveside rites will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Center Chapel Cemetery near Stockport with the Rev. Clair Odell officiating. Family visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Behner Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Center Chapel Cemetery.
