Alta Johnston

Alta Johnston, 99, of Denver, Colo. died December 22, 1986 in Denver, Colo.

She was born January 6, 1887 at Goodland, Kansas, the daughter of Willis and Birdie Baldwin Dustin.

She married John Johnston December 17, 1905 in Bentonsport, Iowa. She lived in Birmingham for 21 years, in Fairfield three years then moved to Oskaloosa where she lived many years before moving to Denver where she had been a resident for the past 13 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1949, her son, Maurice in 1966, one brother and two sisters.

Surviving are one daughter, Helen Dunn of Denver, Colo., four grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, a sister, Hazel Kagey of Wooster, Ohio.

A memorial service will be Saturday, May 2, 1:00 P.M. at the Burch-Raymond Funeral Chapel in Birmingham.

Rev. David Kennedy officiated. Following cremation burial was in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

Arrangements will be in charge of Burch-Raymond Funeral Home.
